and crown thy good with brotherhood

I'm busy on another post for you, but this small moment can't be passed up:

. . . . . . .

There are boys outside my window playing baseball on the Quad, and while I've never been one to fully appreciate just why baseball is Our Nation's sport, there is something so reassuring seeing grown boys be boys---and so American, at that.

. . . . . . .

Right---back with more in a few!

Glad to know things don't change. I'm longing for it (SB) and so glad you're there!

p.s. Just wait until World Series. It is utter mayhem!

If you have boys, will they be on little league teams?

what a funny thought---though I know the answer right away: no baseball. Random pick-up games and family catch, yes, but not the whole traveling team. My boys can be soccer boys, they can be cross-country boys, they can be rugby boys. . .anything but baseball.
